AMBITION AFRICA, an unmissable annual meeting of Franco-African trade relations
With the support of the French government and the African authorities, Business France organized, on October 30 and 31, 2019, the second edition of the AMBITION AFRICA forum, which has become the essential annual meeting dedicated to Franco-African relations, in the presence of ministers, business ambassadors and delegations from across the African continent. Placed under the sponsorship of Mr. Emanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, Ambition Africa 2019 took place in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance.
The 2019 edition, held in Paris, brought together more than 1,000 participants from around forty countries in Africa and France, around several subjects such as:
-
Invest in Africa’s growth
-
Diversification opportunities for capital investors in Africa
-
How private equity can serve African and non-African companies
Ambition Africa highlights the strategic importance of Africa in international trade relations in general, and for France in particular. Indeed, during this forum, several French and African business leaders were able to meet and forge lasting business relationships. The forum was only in its second edition, but given the success of these two editions, great things are to be expected from the next versions. However, some participants strongly hoped that the organizers would consider future forums on the African continent which still mobilizes the most significant number of participants
Ambition Africa 2019 is part of the preparation for the Africa-France summit in June 2020, dedicated to the sustainable city.
